Character Analysis

Who is Kanga?
We haven´t heard of her, yet.

As the name already tells us, Kanga is a Kangaroo.
But she isn´t just a normal Kangaroo, she´s female, the only important "woman" in the whole book
(that´s why she is so important, though she has an underpart).
And she also isn´t just a "woman", she is a mother, too, a single mother  --
the caring mother of baby Roo, her little son.
She is  mild, good-hearted, clever and has a good sense of humour.
Because of all that qualities she is materializing the role of the perfect woman (and mother) during the whole book.
She likes her friends, her son, and is that kind of person, that wants everything clean, quiet and nice.

Overall she is a very tolerant character, but there are 3 or 4 things, she  can´t stand:
  • she hates it,when Roo,her little son doen´t really listen to her
  • she doesn´t like it when Roo doesn´t want to take his medecine
  • she gets really frightened and nervous, when Roo is unobserved (and that happens very easily because he´s always everywhere and walks into things rapidly.)
What I think about Kanga: (I like her)

To me, Kanga is like a strong, great and warm person, she gives me the feeling ,that I can trust her, and has many character attitudes, that are really important but she also isn´t totally faultless...

Seems to be the perfect composition...
